Good Morning and Merry Christmas to you all on the rock and in town. Looking forward to coming back to visit with Family in July 2024.

Such a well designed website! I am overwhelmed with emotion reading the will of Thomas Cotter, my great grandfather, who left his estate to his son James Cotter, and a home for his second wife, Mary Murphy Cotter. I knew my great grandmother. I am one of those decedents who lived in the Boston area. I hope to visit Bay de Verde and discover more of my heritage.

I have been doing genealogy on my maternal grandmother's family. The family name was/is Lockyer. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi enjoyed your nice look out spot last night. So tidy and presents very well with the picnic tables and story boards! We are on a staycation visiting places not seen before while we have the time. Great job.

I travel every summer from North Bay, Ontario to visit family from the Bonavista peninsula but have never visited your town before. We decided to take a trip up the Bay de Verde peninsula yesterday(absolutely fantastic) and toured your beautiful town. Such a captivating place with incredible scenery and history. I would definitely return for a longer visit next time.

I am just reading about the loss of the plant in Bay de Verde.May it be recovered quickly.. My grandfather was born there and his father was Thomas Riggs. I am honored that my descendants come from such a beautiful place. I hope to visit soon.

To the residents of Bay de Verde, I was so sorry last week to hear of the devastating fire of the fish plant. Hopefully some of you will find work in other fish plants and the rebuild will happen quickly. I feel a connection as my bff lives in Coley's Point i.e. fire trucks came from as far away as Bay Roberts, plus as I lost everything in an apartment fire many years ago. God speed.

To residences of Bay de Verde & plant workers, we pray that all will find employment else where until your new plant is up & running. God bless you all.

So very sorry to see your processing plant lost, however kudos to the Quinlan family for their rapid decision to rebuild an even better plant. I have fond memories of Bay de Verde, my mother was born in Old Perlican and I fished off your community on a long liner my uncle owned from Old Perlican in the mid 1960's.

I just heard the news of the company's promise to rebuild – bravo. My thoughts and prayers are with your brave and beautiful community. Is there a disaster fund people can contribute to? In solidarity and hope.

To the people of Bay de Verde, I like many Canadians watched the CBC news of your devastating fire. Our prayers are with you all and your community at this time. Stay strong, you will re build.

Just went into the web site and noticed that it was changed. The new website looks awesome. You can just sit there and watch the pictures scroll a lot easier and quicker to get into the information. A job well done. Excellent.
